Type Foundry TermsBeta

Font licensing used to be simple: one typeface, one price, done. Today foundries charge by company size, pageviews, or app count, add surcharges for logo use, and separate web from desktop. Staying on top of this avoids costly surprises and licensing gaps.

Pricing Model

One all-inclusive license based on company size — Web, App, and Broadcast are included at no extra charge.

Pricing basis
The price is based on the total headcount of the company. The entry price covers up to 25 employees. A single all-inclusive license instead of separate purchases per media type.
Who licenses
The licensing company. Both the end user and any party working on their behalf must be covered by a valid license or the Sharing Extension.
Term
One-time purchase, no annual fee, no renewal — perpetual.

Virtually no special cases — logo is included in the Standard; the optional Sharing Extension covers third parties.

Logo / Wordmark
The Standard license covers almost all use cases — no separate logo license as required by other foundries.

Sharing Extension
Optional extension to the Company license so that third parties and contractors (e.g. agencies) are automatically covered. Without the Sharing Extension, every third party needs their own license.

Group / Holding
For corporate groups, a separate license covering affiliated companies is available on request.
